FAMILY
Alhamdulillah, this year hari raya marks the first celebration together as a married couple with hubby, insyaallah more to come in the following years. I almost forgotten that I already experienced the hari raya atmosphere thrice not twice, until hubby reminded me. hehe.. ish ish. well, twice-meeting Ramadan :)
Last year was kinda awkward for me though, because it was my first time meeting some of my future in laws relatives then, on the other hand, darl couldn't get away from work. this year, is totally different. I enjoyed myself! Alhamdulillah, and thank you darl for making all these possible. =) So far, i have been growing up with darl's family for almost three years+ now. I am really thankful for them, to accept me as part of their family, getting to know me better, understanding my background. surely their unity, openness, caring for one another touches me. Each time, they show me and remind me how important family is, through their actions. and they are also very acceptive towards all my family members. what more could i ask for. i dont know how to make things better, but i always keep each and everyone in my prayers, and ask Him to keep you guys safe and protected from harm. I love you my parents, my most humble and patient husband, my siblings no matter how far the distance keeps us apart, my pets, my father and mother in law, my sisters and brothers in law, beb, and all those i salaam and hugged on the first and second day of hari raya. Thank you for loving me, the way i am, and not judging me.
Aye, me feel like crying now. =')
What surprised me, three years ago, when i first saw one of darl's sis in law hugging mak and asking for forgiveness. Back then, i did not know during hari raya besides the house visiting, fasting for a month, you seek forgiveness. It is always very emotional, to see orang tua hugging each other and asking forgiveness in any way of offence towards the other party.. i myself had burning of sensation from my nose straight up to my eyes that day, while standing behind darl's relatives, when they were seeking forgiveness from one another.. trust me, your eyes will well up with tears instantly, because we all know, every year not everybody gets to meet Ramadan. .
I was just thinking it would be a better world if everyone try seeking forgiveness immediately instead of waiting for hari raya.. and like you dont have to be extremely nice only on ramadan and hari raya, then after that you are what you were, hmm. Astarfigrullah
i mean, thats the very prominent difference from people celebrating Chinese new year.. i think i want to start sharing with all my chinese family members/friends to seek forgiveness from their parents on CNY!
a point to myself too.
September is going to be a very busy month for us! i already taken couple of block(s) leave so as not to miss any of the happy functions! Ah ling is getting married -legally but not completely, aye as in traditionally wise ;p confusing much.
cant wait! cant wait! then going msia (overseas) for a wedding, how cool! heh heh
till then, Selamat Hari Raya, please forgive me in any ways that i had said or done any thing to hurt your feelings!
love sufia..
